high tide trimming

This one shot around 10am today. It's tucked inside a southern corner out of the wind. The swell is a bit bigger than this at the mo, but not much. Maybe shoulder high at the open beaches. Decent swell due to hit sometime today.

small but a ball

Pre work surfers were greeted with some fun waist high peelers this morning. The incoming tide would have being pushing some joy in at most of our little beach breaks, these shots were taken at one of our northern gems. The guy styling on the longboard is Harley Ingleby.... Harley is off the the Maldives at the end of the week to compete for the title of World Champ!  It should be televised live on the net, so I will keep you posted on the details.

the perils of being a pro surfer

I did a quick photo shoot with the current world number 1 longboarder; Harley Ingleby this morning. His boardshort sponsor needed a few shots of him riding one of their new lines. Poor ole Harls had to paddle out at 7am in the coldest water we have had all year..... the waves weren't great either, but I think I got a pretty one of him walking up the beach.

Jack Lynch rips

I am going to be working with Jack Lynch a fair bit over the next few years... his surfing is great to photograph. I love the way the this kid loves surfing. The bug has bitten him real bad. Jack got a epic little blog running too, you can find it at http://kookinstuff.blogspot.com/
