twin angle

Had the twin angle happening this morning. Sherrin came down and shot long lens while I went for a swim with the wide angle. The surf didn’t really warrant such attention, but the idea behind this daily blog is to bring it to you, no matter what the conditions. When the surf is small and gutless you need some....... click here to read and see the rest of todays post

vitamin D

Pity its Monday and most of us have to trudge off to work, because its a cracker day out there. Its tipped to get to 27 degrees with ample vitamin D on offer for those lucky enough to be outside. Waves are still about at various spots, but the excitement from last weeks swell has faded away.........

wet

Rainy, grey start to the new week, but there have been some waves about. The solid south swell from the weekend is continuing to pulse on the Coffs coast, it looks like there will be cracking waves for a while yet...Clik here to see more pics from the weekend's south swell

johnny solo

The ocean has some energy today!! there are some solid waves at south facing beaches this morning. Plenty of empty beachbreaks around for those who want spend at extra few minutes looking around. Today’s photos are all of John Craig surfing a solo session at beachie not all that far from Coffs. He and a few random seagulls were the only living things I saw along this beautiful secluded stretch of coast.... clik here to see more pics

the Occ factor

Massive turnout for the monthly coffs boardriders meet yesterday. Yes the sun was shining, yes there were fun clean waves about, but I think the big draw card was the opportunity to surf with and meet Occy. That’s right former world champ and the most liked surfer ever; Mark Occhilupo was at Diggers beach yesterday much to the stoke of the local grommets. He was pushing the grommies into waves, signing autographs, posing for photos and being quite a good sport about it all.... read the rest of today's post HERE

spring surprise

Damn fine morning to be a surfer!! A medium sized east swell was rolling clean lines on to our sun soaked beaches at 6 O’clock today, there was no wind the water was warm and the waves were round, if this is how spring is going to be… bring it on!.... clik here to see some more

Hope you bagged a few over the weekend. Most northern corners had some clean peaks from that north-east wind swell. It wasn’t epic by any means, but it was enough to keep the “fathers day frothers” happy on a sunny Sunday.... click here to read the day's story and see some more pics

hazy

Bushfire smoke filtered the rising sun as a north west wind gently blew across the ocean at dawn this morning, all the signs that the warm weather is just around the corner. The southerly swell is smaller today, but that did’nt bother a solid pack of surfers who were all up getting their fix before the days activities begin.... Click here to see more pics from today.
