boardriders

Andrew Lindsay making something of crappy conditions. I think he won the over 28's.

The Coffs boardriders had their monthly bash on Sunday at Diggers beach. There were OK waves in the morning but the north-easterly came up and made a mess by the time the finals started.
I only took a few stills this time round. I opted to get some video footage instead. I plan to get some filming done each comp and put together a little video for the final presentation night.

The new "Super Groms" division has been a massive hit!

maybe tomorrow

Madison Williams last Sunday morning.
Well I went to the beach for my daily photo this morning, but it wasn't pretty. Cloudy, windy, choppy, messy, sloppy....... bloody terrible really. You would have to be super keen today. Later in the week looks better.

coffs boardriders opener

The Coffs boardriders held their first meet of the year today at good ole Diggers beach. The swell arrived just in time after a week of near flatness. This pic is of Matty Wyborn going to town on a nice righthander in his first heat. Our website will have the full gallery up over the next few days. I'll keep you posted through this blog or join up to the weekly newsletter of our surf website to get it all first.

town beachie

Fun waves on the incoming tide this morning. It was too lower tide at 6am for most beaches, but when the tide start coming in there were 2-3 foot clean peaks all over the place. Had a real summer look today, waters is warm again and the air is steamy. These shots taken around 11am.

worm tracks

A glimpse of light before a grey and stormy day came along. The shots today were taken between 5.30-6am the sky looked more impressive than the surf hence the heavy composition towards the top half in most of these photos. A strong south-east wind is making a mess of the surface conditions at all of our town beaches, even the protected corners aren't spared.

Only sign of life at Coffs most popular beach 5.30am

we had colour today.... for about 3 minutes

waves...sort of

It was super glassy at first light this morning and the waves were a touch bigger than the last few days. today's pics were taken around 9.30am when the southerly was starting to get into anything without protection...... worth a quick paddle for sure.
