two swells

Much better looking day today. The onshore winds have gone, the pouring rain has stopped and we are left with sunshine and waves!! Two swells were pulsing in this morning, a leftover northeast wind swell and a fresh south-east swell, the southerly lumps are wedging up really nice in the corners of our backbeaches are may only improve as the tide drops out this arvo…. might be a good surf day. this is Tommy "Tucker" Hall. He just casually strolls down the street through the carpark at diggers beach with nothing but a pair of shorts on and dives into the ocean like its a hot summers afternoon. But it wasn't, it was 6.30am air temp was around 8 degrees with a cold west wind blowing.... seemed like a happy bloke.

Every weekend surfer should still have a smile on their face after yesterday. We had perfect conditions right up until lunchtime on Sunday. cracking waves breaking right along our coastline this morning. The perfect winter offshores are working their magic with this fresh, clean groundswell. It was liquid gold around 7am, visually stunning! the golden sun backlighting the hollow overhead waves was fair payment for getting out of bed early.... click here to see all the pics, stories and links.

Waves are bigger today!! a sweet little east swell is pushing into all of the Coffs beachies and it’s warm! really warm, short sleeves and shorts is all you will need if you are out in the sunshine today. Photos were taken around 8 O’clock this morning on an incoming tide, it might even improve at most places on the dropping tide later today…CLICK HERE to see all the pics

ST surf images is exactly 3 months old today!! so we thought we would use today’s post to have a quick look back at a few of the highlights that have featured on our websites young history. After months of preparation, planning and design we finally got up and running on April 7th of this year. You know its winter in Coffs Harbour today!! we are lucky enough to get quite a few days through the winter months that feel more like warm spring days, but today aint one of those. A cold south-west wind couple with a thick blanket of grey sky is making for some brass monkey style weather. Just looking at the cool colours in the mornings photos give you a good idea of the temperature….. cold and blue.... CLICK HERE to see more pics
