Earlier this year Emerald beach surfer Mark Ingleby embarked on a long and careful journey of producing this beautiful crafted Hot Curl surf board. The hot curl board originated in Hawaii in the 1930’s, it became the board of choice for Hawaiians right up to the 1950’s. The idea to make a replica of the Hot Curl has been rattling around in Mark’s head since the 1980’s, he finally got around to making one when he discussed and then saw Paul Joske’s Paulownia version.
